Annals of the Four Masters

A great chronicle of Irish history compiled between 1632 and 1636.

Franciscan friars led by Mícheál Ó Cléirigh gathered older records into a year-by-year history of Ireland up to 1616. It records the deaths and deeds of many chiefs of Irish septs.
