Among the recordings in Norfolk are the christening of Richard, son of Matthew Fulcher, on February 18th 1566 at St. Peter's, Forncett, and the marriage of Edward Fulcher and Cicely Thorp on September 13th 1612 at All Saints, Norwich. The first recorded spelling of the family name is shown to be that of Roger Fulchier, which was dated 1167, in the Pipe Rolls of Hampshire, during the reign of King Henry 11, known as "The Builder of Churches", 1154 - 1189.
